Digital Disrupters:
From the margins to the mainstream

Public services face unprecedented challenges. A bankrupt public purse combined with profound long-term challenges means that we need to find radical new ways of delivering better and cheaper public services.

NESTA's Reboot Britain programme is exploring the potential for the web and other interactive technologies to deliver more with less. We are supporting 10 radical experiments that bring together innovators from inside and outside public services to tackle challenges from child protection, policing and community safety, youth offending, unemployment and social care.

Please join us on Monday 5th July from 12:00-15:00
hrs to hear more about our work and to explore the opportunities for digital tools to drive radical innovation in public services.  We will hear from Tom Steinberg, Director of MySociety and Emer Coleman, Barnet Council's Assistant Chief Executive (currently seconded as London Alliances Project Director, GLA), as well as hosting a conversation between developers and public service commissioners.

We will also publish a new report - Digital Disrupters: From the margins to the mainstream - which describes how these experiments are testing new ways of using the web to deliver better services for less and suggests how to put these into practice.
